Imagine turning on your computer and it won’t load Windows. Now imagine seeing a message that said it couldn’t find your hard drive. This is the technology nightmare Burt Harriman and his assistant Stephanie White faced recently when Stephanie’s computer would not display the familiar Windows XP desktop. With their main computer down, they called us to diagnose the problem and find a solution.

We dispatched a technician on-site immediately and discovered that the hard drive was bad. Getting them up and running was a snap because we had the foresight to make sure that their files were being backed up on a daily basis. Once a new hard drive was installed in Stephanie’s computer, we restored the files from the backup and she was back in action. A slight oversight on our part caused some files to be excluded from the backup. We were able to retrieve them from the bad hard drive and made sure they were included in the regular backup.
